A Highland Diary

Well, as the snow started thawing in London I hightailed it to the Highlands, where the snow lies in magnificent abandon. I'm staying at Craigendarroch just outside Ballater on Royal Deeside for a week of rest, reading, recharging batteries and vigorous walking!

The walking however is a challenge when the snow is over your knees. Thank goodness for thermals!

Sir Stephen Bubb is Chief Executive of the Association of Chief Executive Organisations. In 2007 he became Secretary General of Euclid Network, the European body for Third Sector leaders. He is the Chair of Social Investment Business, the largest social investor in the UK and a Board member of the Big Society Capital Trust. He has been in major national roles in TGWU, NUT and AMA (Association of Metropolitan Authorities) and was Founding Personnel Director of the National Lottery Charities Board. In 2011 he was appointed by David Cameron to Chair the choice and competition workstream of the Government's listening exercise on the NHS reforms, the NHS Future Forum.
